Part II- Flamethrowers:

The common design of a flamethrower is that jellied gasoline is forced out of a tube at high speed by either compressed air, or nitrogen gas. Obviously, the inner workings of a flamer are not important to most of you, seeing it doesn’t help you kill the enemy. So without further wait-

My Tips-

  • Flamethrowers are best used when on higher ground, or to block off a major choke point for the enemy.
  • Example: If you are on level ground with the enemy in an open area, and you decide you want to have a flamer; put bluntly, you’re royally screwed.
  • The reason for this is that being level with the enemy just gives them more of an advantage to kill you using Panzerfausts, SMG’s, Venoms, whatever. Also they can usually out run you, and get away unscathed. However, if you are above the enemy, who is in a trench, and they must go through there to gain access to (wherever) you have the undeniable advantage over the enemy. Because-
  • You are above them, to look up, the will have to let their guard down around them- therefore making them vulnerable to attack from your teammates.
  • They are noticeably slowed by this bottleneck, making them easier targets for the panzer, and ultimately slowing them from getting to the objective.
  • Watch out for teammates! With FF on, the flamethrower is deadly to not only your teammates, but also yourself. Try not to run with it, the flames blow back onto you, igniting you on fire, killing yourself, and letting the enemy laugh at you. Also, Try to lead your group of teammates, that way there is little risk you will hurt your team when engaging a target.
  • If possible, try and fire in short bursts, it will do the job, but will enable you to conserve fuel, and concentrate on one person.
  • Try to go after a mass of people instead of one person. Reasons-
  • - A mass of players at the sight of a flamer will often panic, and run in opposite directions, and the mass will become congested with one another.
  • - A mass of players usually moves slower than one lone player- making it easier for you to kill them.
  •             And-

  • - Trying to go after one player often sets you up for either an embarrassing chase, or a deadly ambush. So, stay safe, and aim for the groups.
  • Those are all of the tips I can think of, and the most I’m willing to disclose.
