The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly

Part I - The Panzer:

A medium-grade anti-tank weapon in WWII, it was used by the German forces to some success against fixed fortifications, and light armor. Today, you and your fellow teammates are using it to gib the opposition into oblivion. There is a technique; to its madness though- some level of coolness is needed for the optimization of this weapon.

Don’t think I’m gonna give you my secrets are you? Ha! I bet….

No, seriously, everyone has their tricks, but there are some basic rules to go by-

  • Move almost all the time with either your pistol or grenades out, walking down the trains with the panzer out makes you walk slower, attract bullets, and most of all angers other players who want to leave quick.
  • Fire at the floor or ceiling near a target, it makes the splash damage more deadly.
  • Learn to use ‘nades’ and the Luger/Mk1911 well, its what you’ll be using to defend yourself 75% of the time.
  • Try to aim for masses of people, not individuals; a panzer is more effective when used to gib more than 2 people.
  • Please try to evaluate your firing position, and not to obstruct others when firing- that’s just ethics.
  • So here’s the nitty-gritty:

The Good: The panzers awesome splash damage potential is disastrous in the hands of a trained professional (Me! j/k, ) and can deny one position to the enemy for a while.

The Bad: On FF off servers, you are only a danger to yourself; the occasional teammate in front of your shot may land you in a pile of flesh, also misjudging the parameters of the terrain may lead you to try and fire through an invisible wall, and vaporize himself- EXAMPLE:

    Wolfplayer vaporized himself-

Wolfplayer: "WTF? That stupid f#%ing wall wasn’t in my way! WTF?"

Additionally, on FF on servers, the risk is far greater, you risk your teammates, and yourself- choose your shots wisely.

The Ugly: You have all seen it, Wolfplayer n00b wants to be a big man and use the rocket- WRONG! He blocks the train lumbering down at .2kph and walks right in front of an Axis Lt, who promptly mows him down before he can do anything. This gun appears to be self-explanatory in use, but in fact, it is a whole other beast.

    Up Next…. Part II: Flamers… Ugh. (j/k).
