Folks I am afraid i have to be the bearer of bad news.

My closest online friend and pal to many HP peeps - Kar Sarah 'Queen of the Kar' has lost her greatest battle and won't be back on our servers again. As you probably know, sarah made a succesful recovery in the past years from kidney cancer, but was recently diagnosed again. She had a second transplant but after a brief remission the cancer did not relent. Sarah was taken by her family to one of the best clinics in Europe (in Holland) but, it seems even there nothing could be done. She was told by her doctors that there was no hope for her and rather than continue with the painful Chemo Sarah asked to stop and return home. This is how a lot of you have seen her online again very recently. She was given eight months with chemo but once it stopped it was just a matter of wating to get sick. At the very least Sarah was praying to make it to Christmas to have one last holiday with her family, especially her infant sister. But this was not to be. She admitted to me last week that she was deteriorating rapidly, and on Friday I received a thoughful email and final goodbye from her. She told me she would be heading to her familys holiday-home in the nearby mountains to wait for the end.

I am posting here because she wanted you all to know how much you meant to her, especially fullmag and rattman. And also because i think we should do something to honour her memory. Albeit without the missing resolution that confirmation of her passing would provide.

Outside the online world Sarah was an exceptionally bright and talented person, studying years beyond her age and qualifying for her national ballet team as a child. But we have all known her as Kar sarah, the great COD player, always sniping with the kar but never camping and ready to bash the ass off you if you got too close. She frequented many servers but always came back to HP. Where she regularly topped the german frag list, all who met her found that she was a wonderfully polite girl, deserving of her gold tags which she wore proudly.

Speaking personally, the internet can be a cold place to be, but it was always warmer for me when Sarah was there. She was my friend, my company, and my favourite enemy. HP has lost for me its most valuable member.

I hope you will all join me in remembrance of a great player, exceptional young lady and unforgettable friend.

During my battle with cancer Sarah gave me some wise words and it helped me pull thru i never knew of her situation untill after i was back home and before she went for the last lot of chemo. From talking with her over many months i know that she was one of the bravest and most inspiring person i have ever had the pleasure to meet. She had game skills i can only dream of but yet she never bragged about how great she was she didnt need to WE ALL know how great she is. I will be wearing My RIP KAR{sarah} tags with pride and with great honour. If you are able to read these posts in your final days sarah i just want you to know how much i and everyone else will miss you but we will never forget you. May God take you peacefully and with dignity.

I want to finish now with a short poem which somes up how i feel about sarah.

A Moment In The Sun

I stepped into the sunlight
And felt a gentle breeze
A soft and wistful moment
That was echoed in the trees

Each leaf at a shimmer
Each limb in dancing pose
A moment as beautiful
As a single long stem rose

And so it is this moment
This time that we have shared
A special bond between us

well put knuckles, well put... i did not know sarah well, however, when i had the pleasure of playing by her side~
it was always something speacial. she was the one player that could steal my kills with dignity.. and i couldnt be mad.
and when i got cocky, with my kar, sarah was there to put me back in place. never bragging. never showing anything
that would shame HP. just an all around, great person. and lets not make this such a sullen thread
but lets rejoice in the memories that we all had with sarah and celebrate her life. god be with
her and her family
