From the heartfelt memorials everyone has given, it was my great misfortune to have missed knowing Sarah. I played against her a few times, but I wish I had known what I was missing in failing to become acquainted with her. My thoughts are with her family and I'm sure she'd be so grateful and proud of the wonderful words everyone has spoken here. We are really a family here at HP and everyone has really shown that. Rest in peace, Sarah.

here is a poem i found that i reckon would be alright for her

For The Fallen
With proud thanksgiving, a mother for her children,
England mourns for her dead across the sea.
Flesh of her flesh they were, spirit of her spirit,
Fallen in the cause of the free.

Solemn the drums thrill; Death august and royal
Sings sorrow up into immortal spheres,
There is music in the midst of desolation
And a glory that shines upon our tears.

They went with songs to the battle, they were young,
Straight of limb, true of eye, steady and aglow.
They were staunch to the end against odds uncounted;
They fell with their faces to the foe.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years contemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.

They mingle not with their laughing comrades again;
They sit no more at familiar tables of home;
They have no lot in our labour of the day-time;
They sleep beyond England's foam.

But where our desires are and our hopes profound,
Felt as a well-spring that is hidden from sight,
To the innermost heart of their own land they are known
As the stars are known to the Night;

As the stars that shall be bright when we are dust,
Moving in marches upon the heavenly plain;
As the stars that are starry in the time of our darkness,
To the end, to the end, they remain.

I like many have been touched by the huge responses for this wonderful young lady. Following reading all the messages tears appear, it certianlly makes you humble and grateful for what you have in your life. I would never imagine to begin to think what Sarah went through, her thoughts, her feelings... the only thing I can say heartfelt is that she was brave.

None of us know what is beyond the next corner, life is for living, enjoy to the full, respect each other.. and just say a little prayer for the ones who have had to go through tough life decisions..

'HIM' up there only takes the best... to be alongside..

Rest in peace sarah... heaven is a wonderful place.

On this night, the eve of Thanksgiving, a day that is to be filled with much joy and thanks for all the wonderful things that have been bestowed upon us, I read that Sarah, a dear friend of mine has past on.

To those of you who didn’t know Sarah, you missed out. She was a great person. Warm, compassionate, gracious, and quite honestly one of those people you couldn’t help but like the minute you talked to her. Sarah was able to take the worst of situations, find that one spec of hope (no matter how small or insignificant to most), and amplify it beyond anything imaginable. I’ve never met a person like her. I doubt I will ever meet another person like Sarah who has impacted my life in such a way.

After the tears had passed, I went to my five-month-old son’s room. I stood there next to his crib for a time, watching him sleep. The thought of loosing my son was crushing. I cannot comprehend the loss of someone so close to me the way Sarah’s family has lost their daughter. To be helpless. To be completely unable to help anymore. To be given an ultimatum. As a new parent, it shakes me to the core. I hope the best for my child, as I’m sure any parent would. But when any control over that childs life is taken from you and you are left watching your child, your baby, drift away… god… it’s terrifying. My heart breaks for Sarah’s family and I am filled with such grief for them.

So here I sit now, writing this with no real idea why. I’m sure a lot of us are feeling the same way. Some of us have been through loss like this before and those old emotions are creeping back in. So on that note, I’ll try and do my best ‘spec of hope’ seeking as Sarah would’ve done – as Sarah did for the past couple years.

Sarah loved life. Simple as that. She loved every aspect of it. I don’t think you could’ve upset Sarah if you tried your damndest. I’ve got a lot of work to do in my own life, and damnit, I should’ve been taking notes. She would’ve wanted everyone to be thankful for their own lives, no matter how bad the situation is. She would’ve wanted us to give our brothers, sisters, parents, and friends a hug, no matter how upset we were with them. She would’ve wanted us to look at our neighbor and offer them some help with that noisy carburetor that wakes you up every morning. She would’ve wanted us all to take a long look at our own lives, take a deep breath, and be thankful for that one breath. And honestly, I can’t think of a better way to live your life.

So on this eve of Thanksgiving I will kiss my son goodnight (again), pet the dog one more time, curl up next to my wife and sleep soundly knowing that tomorrow is a new day. And I will be thankful for that new day. I will be thankful for my less than normal family members, my cranky in-laws, my noisy neighbors, and my dog that has a taste for shoes.

I will be thankful for my life and the life of those around me.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!

very sad what happened to such a nice person undeserving of such an ending, my sympathy goes out to all of her family and relatives. shes in a better place now and her suffering is over and she is at peace.

kinda makes you think: lifes short you have to make the most of it.......you never know when your time may come, therefore you must cherrish every moment for it may be your last.

i am thankful for the loving family and friends god has blessed me with and my many talents and everything about me. wouldnt chang anything, this may have been a tragic event but it also has given me a whole new perspective on life. I now have more respect for my family and everyone around me. we are lucky for what we have when less fortunate people in this world are suffering.

ps: Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

I have just heard the news about Sarah, and my most sincere condolences are sent out to her family. Although I did not know her personally, she was a great friend in the community and she will be dearly missed. God bless Sarah.

Just yesterday i went to my CO and asked weather my Army Unit could do a Unoffical 21 Gun Salute for her, i explained who she was and what she meant to me and after a long talking with him, we came down to doing a Salute to a fallen soldier while at the range next time (which happens to be in about 3 weeks) i know its not much but i wanted to do something for her and thought this could be the best way to do it.

If Anyone in HP doesnt want me to do this at all just let me know and it will be stopped

We will all remember sarah in our own individual way,
there is no need to ask the community if it is right or not for you to salute her.
it is only your duty to inform us when you have done so

RIP {AR SARAH

Hey guys, I know I didn't know Sarah, I probably played when she was on 2 times in my life, but I was thinking, what about doing something for the family like sending some flowers. How about putting together a pool to donate to a cancer non-profit for children? If anything it would really show how much this community cares for its own. Just a thought.

Dear Sarah,

It's been a very long while we talked.................
I hope you'll be fine out there in Heaven and looking with a smile to all of us.
Just want to let you know that I sometimes still thinking of you and on the good times we had playing a stupid pc game.
In almost 3 years it has never been the same.

Love you,

an online Freind
